April 19, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

We are delighted to announce the details for our next event scheduled for 7pm on Thursday, 19 April 2018. Discussing “Housing Solutions – Thinking Outside the Box”, Minister Eoghan Murphy will be joined for a panel discussion by Ms Margaret Sweeney and Mr Richard Barrett. The panel discussion will take place in Iveagh House, St Stephen’s Green.

A native of Kilcar, Margaret Sweeney is CEO of IRES REIT plc, the largest private landlord in the State with a portfolio of almost 2,500 apartments. Ms Sweeney was previously chief executive of Postbank Ireland, CEO of Aer Rianta and a partner in KPMG. She is also a non-executive director at Ireland’s largest hotel group, Dalata.

Richard Barrett is Founder of Bartra Capital Property and former joint owner of Treasury Holdings. He is a double graduate in economics and law and speaks English, Irish, French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Bartra Capital Property is a development and investment platform which is active in areas such as private residential development, social housing, nursing homes, commercial real estate and renewable energy. Bartra recently acquired a holiday resort with 27 homes on 186 acres of land in Carrigart, Co Donegal.

This is a significant coup for DDBN to get these three individuals in a venue together, to discuss such a live topic. Attendance will be restricted to DDBN members only. You must have paid your 2018 membership fee (€30) to attend. If you have not already done so, you can pay via this link. When you have done this, please see below on how to RSVP. You must RSVP by 16th April.

We’re expecting a full house for this event. So, if you have paid your membership, please enter your name in the below form, check the box, and then click “Send”.

We will then get in touch with you if your application to attend has been successful.
